Great heavy duty pants. I wear them 5 days a week for construction work. My very first pair I bought 3 years ago is finally almost ready for retirement.
I like how the back pocket is deep so your wallet sits below the butt cheek and the pocket is angled so it's easy to put and get things out of the back pockets.
The two smaller front pockets are where I store my pocket knife and pencils/pens.
The other two front pockets are also easy to stick my big hands in.
These pants are great!
I've been an aircraft mechanic for the past 4 years. The jets I work on require squeezing into small spaces and crouching below the fuselage, and these pants have always allowed me the freedom of movement and comfort that gets me through the day. The tiny front pocket in the forward left was always perfect for putting washers or bolts, or even a mini flashlight. The regular pockets are deep enough for tools. The cargo pockets with Velcro always held screw bags or a beanie when it's cold outside.
Whether tearing up the knees working low on concrete, or just regular wear and tear, these pants hold up. The belt loops are wide so they don't easily tear. The mildly stretchy waistband was a blessing when I found myself working night shifts and I gained a little weight from midnight fast food runs. I finally moved on to buying a second pair after starting a new job in the same field, more for appearances than anything, since my old pair is still holding together with only slight rips in the knees. But with a second layer of fabric, even knee-holes haven't stopped these pants from being dependable.
Great pants. I bought them for traveling and they were perfect for that. First thisn i did was spill red wine all over them, wiped right off and did not stain. Got caught is several down pours and when they got wet, they dried out quickly. The material is a good quality, water resistant and still breathable. All the pockets designed for magazines were perfect for carrying rain coats, water bottles, maps and guides. These are the only pants I will take when traveling for long durations (I only pack for carry on luggage) I would recommend and did buy another pair in black. I like the beige better and they hide allot more sin and don't need cleansing as often, I washed these in the sink at night before bed, hand rung them and they were dry the next morning.
I am a commercial diver for a living so I spend a lot of time outside, tending line, running around on a boat, getting dirty, getting wet, and these pants have worked very well for me. They are strong and light with plenty of room to move around in them. They clean easily and are water resistant, which is exactly what I need in my kind of work. Getting splashed happens all the time and these pants do a great job staying dry and drying out quickly when they do get wet. They work well in the summer and winter. They are light enough to let your legs breathe in the summer and have plenty of room to wear thermals underneath them in the winter while also offering some protection from the wind and water. I have yet to tear them or even to notice any major wear in them. I can't imagine switching to another style. They do everything I need. I can keep my knife in the handy pocket on the side and clip boat and truck keys to the ring. The pockets are deep enough to keep my phone and wallet from falling out into the water while I'm crouched and moving around on top of the boat, etc. These are my favorite pants, no doubt.
My husband has four pairs of these pants. He is a commercial truck salesman so he needs to look nice, but, he is also visiting customers work sites, walking around the truck lot, prepping vehicles for delivery etc. Typical khaki pants or dress pants wouldn't stand a chance. He really likes the durability, comfort, look and the multiple pockets in these pants. They wash up great and I hang them to dry...no ironing - yay! I actually had to discourage him from buying every color option available. Two of the pairs he has had for quite awhile and there has been zero fading in the color. Yes, these are considered tactical pants and he does wear them when he goes shooting too, it was the reason he bought them in the first place. He just found them to be such great pants that he prefers them over others. He is 6'4 and 210lbs. He bought the 36-34L and they fit perfectly. I asked him if he would recommend them to others and his reply was "hell yes" They have these for woman also and I have two pair. I wear them for shooting and hiking in the fall...they really are great pants!
Figured I would try these pants out but didn't expect too much. WOW! They fit great and there's plenty of room to get around in them. I used to work in Levis but they would split when I got into weird positions. These pants are feather light and will bend any which way you want to. Strong too. I was doing work on a ship in a tight space and something hung up on my pants and I heard a "pop!". I just knew the pants were torn. Checked for five minutes for the rip and was absolutely amazed I didn't find one. I even wear these pants in the Arctic under a survival suit.
The strap in the back is useful. I can hang tools, flashlights, a marine radio, pens ... whatever and they are always securely within reach. Nice wide belt loops and there are extra ones which keep the belt in the right position without riding up. You can run a string through the bottom and blouse the pants too - though I really don't need this feature.
Overall, these pants are great multi-taskers. I work in them and they fit and perform perfectly ... then I can jump on a plane and they look great there too. You can basically wear them anywhere and this has reduced my pack-load for the trips I do. I immediately ordered two more pair.
